Assignment 2A- Buglist
- During class times on campus, I find that my Rider App is not very accurate on reporting arrival times and how full the buses are.
- Why? Bus drivers do not log every passenger boarding and departing and do not strictly follow bus schedules as traffic on campus causes a very large issue regarding time.
- The road construction in my hometown on Highway 98 causes high volumes of traffics and accidents
- Why? The road construction is not getting done on time as Highway 98 is very busy during the summer months and on holidays- causing slower construction progress.
- During school hours, you can not drive on many of the roads on campus.
- Why? Too much foot traffic and the roads were not constructed to hold very high volumes of cars.
- There is limited student parking on campus.
- Why? We need not have enough space on campus to build additional parking lots adjacent to classroom buildings and the traffic would be too much of an issue.
- My dog is extremely hard the bathe and groom
- Why? He is extremely anxious around water, loud noises, and other dogs.
- My car is quite prone to have issues regarding its engine and transmission.
- Why? The previous owner did not take good care of the car and Nissans are known to not be very reliable when compared to other manufacturers.
- I cannot get my nails done as often as I would like.
- Why? Getting your nails done requires an extra $20-$40 dollars every other week and I do not hold a job during the school year. I am broke.
- UF pushes students to purchase online versions of the textbook.
- Why? UF has a contract with Pearson which requires them to utilize access codes.
- It is difficult to grocery shop at Walmart efficiently.
- Why? Walmart is popular and always packed, making the lines long and aisles crowded.
- The basement in Marston is always full.
- Why? Students prioritize levels of libraries where they can discuss with their peers, making the Marston basement highly demanded.
- Music is played too loud in restaurants.
- Why? Restaurant managers think music is a better substitute for the noise resulting from plates, silverware, and other people’s conversations.
- The Publix on 13th street is impossible to park at.
- Why? The parking lot is too small for their customer volume and 13th street is full of student housing and very close to UF campus.
- Student housing anywhere near campus is way more expensive than student housing a few miles away from campus.
- Why? You pay for the location, not the quality of your housing.
- Contacts and glasses lenses are expensive.
- Why? I guess seeing is not a necessity to American people. Also, seeing must be in high demand, as people are willing to pay hundreds of dollars for little pieces of glass in a plastic frame.
- Heavener School of Business builds most of its core and required classes around online platforms and you can never find a seat in a large lecture-style course.
- Why? The classrooms given to the live lectures are too small. A room of 50 seats is not adequate for a class of 800 students.
- Graphing calculators are expensive.
- Why? They are used in many mathematics courses and in high demand, especially in college towns.
- People who snore when they sleep.
- Why? Their airways are not fully being used and it makes it harder for them to breathe.
- LuluLemon is pricey.
- Why? It is considered a high-end brand and the demand for LuluLemon drives its prices up.
- The chicken from Aldi does not taste as good from the chicken at Publix.
- Why? Aldi is a generic food store and buys locally sourced poultry.
- My roommate’s cats make me sneeze and break out in hives on my face.
- Why? I am allergic to pet dander and the cats lay on my face.
Reflection: This bug list was more challenging than I anticipated. The further I got down on my list, the harder it was for me to come up with things that bug me. The first ten items on my list were very prominent annoyances in day to day life.
